I remember watching my mom get out the Windex and clean the picture window, take down, wash and press the drapes in preparation for the Christmas tree. Then, my brother, my sister, my mom, and myself would spend hours and hours loosening and standing each Christmas tree at the Kiwanis lot until we found the perfect tree on all sides. And, tall! Then, we would wait anxiously while the tree "drank water" until the time came to put it in the house and decorate. That's a whole other memory in itself. Thank you for asking me to sit down and remember fond memories of Christmas past. My mom is now 90 years old and has Alzheimers.
